Well hello and welcome back to the truth seekers podcast.

I am so glad that you are here with me today as we continue to learn about Jesus.

One of my favorite things about Jesus is that he never changes.

He is always the same. Even though we are learning about Jesus' life

for many, many, many years ago, the good news is that he is still alive because he is God and God is eternal. That means he lives

forever and he is just as good today as he was in the stories of the Bible that we

are learning. Now in our last story we learned

how Jesus calmed the raging sea while he and his disciples were in a boat crossing

a lake. In today's story we are going to follow Jesus to the other side of a Well Jesus and his disciples went across the lake to the region of the Garrisines.

When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an evil spirit came from the tombs to meet him. This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore,

not even with a chain, for he had often been chained hand and foot.

But he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong

enough to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.

Now true seekers I don't have to tell you how miserable a life this would be.

Now you and I don't have to fear any kind of evil spirit as long as we have Jesus living on the inside of us.

And soon you're going to see exactly what Jesus does for this man.

But even today there are people who don't know Jesus and who are

bound in fear and torment just like this man was. The enemy of this world, the
