Thanks for having me. I really appreciate it. Before we begin, will you just tell my listeners a little bit about yourself, your background, how you got started into this?

Yeah, sure. So my training is in plastic surgery with an emphasis on oncologic reconstruction.

So the majority of my career, I was taking care of patients with breast cancer, had

neck cancer, sarcomas. Maybe they were in an accident and had a need for reconstructive surgery.

So I would help other surgeons with those. And just by virtue of the prevalence of breast cancer in, you know, our population,

I did more and more breast reconstruction. And it was a breast cancer patient who came to me in

2016 who actually wanted to go flat and have their breast implant reconstruction removed.

And so I did that.

We did a capsulectomy for that patient.

And ultimately, that showed that the patient had an E. coli infection.

That was concerning.

That patient then, I believe, put me on a group or a directory.

And patients then started calling my office asking for expletzer.
