How did you end up becoming a World Marine Commando?

My nickname throughout the Marines was Mumbles.

I was more worried about him to speak down the radio than I was going to Afghan, you know, seriously, because you're trained for it.

Herrick 14 to Afghanistan, deployed to the Nadi Ali Green Zone in Helmand.

Taliban bloke there, armed guards around him, looked up to the ceiling, blood.

I got blood on my face, blood on my neck, blood on my arm. I thought, I'm going to die. The point man of our patrol said someone to

poke their head out. He was going to follow him up. And what we get told is don't do that,

because they poke the head out, expecting you to follow them up and then lay a trip wire,

you run in, but he went to follow him.
