Well, I am so excited to bring you this conversation today with my friend, Shane Rosenthal,

aka the Humble Skeptic.

That is the title of his brand new podcast.

You might remember him from the White Horse Inn podcast, a great resource.

They dive really deep into church history, the church fathers, and Shane has now set out

on his own to just with this new venture of the Humble Skeptic podcast where he argues

that Christians, biblically, are actually commanded to be a little bit skeptical.

Well, how does that interact with faith?

We had a really great conversation.

The parts of it that really stood out to me are when he talked about what the Bible

is talking about, when it says the word faith.

He goes into the Greek and even what that Greek word meant to the surrounding culture.

This is a very common word that was used quite a bit, even talking about what Aristotle

meant when he was talking about it and why that's relevant for us as Christians to understand

how that word was used in culture.

Because when we read about it in our Bibles, we can tend to impose a modern definition
