0:25.0	My uncle had been a police officer for nearly 30 years.
0:29.0	In that time, he will tell you, he has seen just about everything there is to see.
0:34.0	Drug busts, domestic disturbances, car accidents, even delivered a set of twins once in the parking lot of a denny's.
0:43.0	Crazy, right?
0:45.0	He has hundreds of stories that would rattle even the most hardened horror fanatics.
0:49.0	But the one I'm about to share with you is perhaps the strangest in his repertoire.
0:54.0	I feel I must warn you, the story contains graphic content and is not for the faint of heart.
1:02.0	In the year 2002, my uncle worked as a state patrol officer in southern Georgia.
1:08.0	He frequently traveled those desolate two lane highways between larger towns,
1:12.0	with the only signs of civilization, where the occasional rest stops, truck way in stations,
1:18.0	and run down 7-Elevens that set off of every exit.
1:23.0	During the time, most of his calls revolved around vacationers traveling from up north to Florida,
1:29.0	who'd run into car trouble, a flat tire or overheated radiator, stuff of that nature.
1:37.0	Most of his calls, as he described them, were uneventful.
1:41.0	In August of 2002, all of that would change.
1:45.0	It was just after a summer downpour, a little before sunset,
1:49.0	when my uncle got the call that an 18-wheeler had hydroplained and jackknifed into the pylon of an overpass.
1:57.0	The accident had blocked traffic, and it was quickly backing up.
