| 0:00.0 | Hey my fellow podcasters, this is the Habla Cunnington Podcast and this is Habla Cunnington. |
| 0:14.9 | I thought maybe you'd like to listen into one of the messages that we've been sharing. |
| 0:20.0 | So sit back, tune in and receive from the Holy Spirit. |
| 0:25.5 | I hope that you get something out of this and I'll catch up with you at the end of this short message. |
| 0:31.5 | Today I want to talk to you about the process of a promise in your life. |
| 0:36.5 | Let me ask you a question. |
| 0:37.5 | How many of you having known Christ, maybe having a salvation experience or remembering when you first came to the realization that God loved you, He knew you, |
| 0:46.5 | you had a bit of epiphany and you realized and you had a promise that God put in your heart and a desire for purpose like you'd never had before. |
| 0:56.5 | Right, 90% of the room. |
| 0:58.5 | And God even spoke to you and said, this is what you're called to do or this is what you should be doing or you had a desire to maybe change the world for the first time and you remember that. |
| 1:09.5 | Now let me ask you this, how many of you in the room are actually doing it full time with God told you to be doing. |
| 1:16.5 | You feel like you're living, okay, there's maybe one percent of us and that's very common in the body of Christ. |
| 1:22.5 | In fact, I think that's why the body of Christ is kind of frustrated because I think a lot of us have promises in the very beginning and God starts things in our lives and we're not quite sure when the whole process finishes. |
| 1:33.5 | We're not sure how it all works and so today I want to talk and explain a little bit about what the process of your promise is and what are belief systems we need to have and statements of faith that we need to have that keep us safe in the journey. |
| 1:48.5 | And so the first thought I want you to think about is this, he started it and he'll finish it. |
| 1:56.5 | He started it, you didn't begin it and you don't have to finish it. |
| 2:01.5 | That means that whatever is going on in your heart, in your life, whatever God's put in your life, if God did it, he started it and he'll finish it. |
| 2:11.5 | And I love how Paul says this because so many of us have so many things that go through us but God initiates everything in your life. |
| 2:21.5 | If it's good, if it has eternal value, if it's the right thing for you, he initiates it. |
| 2:26.5 | And I think about this reality of God completing that thought in us and I like what it says, it says Paul says being confident and if you have your Bible, I want you to underline that word or circle it or make note in your notes about it because this is a key word. |
| 2:42.5 | The word confident is the word Python and that's a Greek word and you cannot translate Greek to English. |
| 2:50.5 | Just so you know, they can have certain words that have meanings and concepts but many times what the writer is writing, you can't just do word for word. |
