On Tuesday 25th July 1933, 27 year old Frederick Field fully confessed to the murder of West End prostitute Norah Upchurch who was found strangled inside a locked empty shop in Shaftesbury Avenue. And yet – in a bizarre twist of fate - even today, her murder remains unsolved.

On Tuesday the 25th of July, 1933, at 12.30pm, in Shoe Lane, a tightly cobblestoneed road just off Fleet Street, which is the supposed workplace of the bloody barber, Sweeney Todd,

who'd happily slit their own mother's throat, spill their granny's guts, and package up the entrails into a steamy festering pie, simply to lure their easily duped readers into swallowing great mouthfuls

of unfettered bullshit. Here, a man paced nervously back and forth, his black scuffed shoes,

almost wearing a hole in the pavement. The rough calloused fingers of his trembling hands,
