I'm also one of the columnists of the critics at large column on movie mezzanine,

which just means I do the weekly new releases coverage. That sounds like you have a lot more credits than we do. So I'm really glad that finally someone of authority is on this podcast. Yeah, I'm regretting this already. I feel like we've been able to coast along, you know, just on our goodwill and our laughs. And on the fact that there's nobody here that's better than us. So you picked the subject, which is John Carpenter. Yes. And why did you

pick John Carpenter? I picked John Carpenter because I only just watched the majority of his

movies last year. Before then, I'd only seen the thing. And the reason being just sort of the reason in general, I didn't watch a lot of horror movies growing up because I was, and I think it's because I was the oldest in my family, so I didn't have an older sibling to sort of corrupt me with like cool stuff. And I just was not predisposed to horror at that, at the time. And so it's because it's now one of my favorite genres and it's sort of,

I'm in a process of like trying to catch up to like all the great stuff that's, that's come out.

And last year I was talking to somebody and who, and his, one of his favorite filmmakers is
