ultra-processed foods have become a leading cause of chronic disease.

But first to Ukraine, where Russian attacks overnight, Tuesday into Wednesday, led to 25 deaths in the western city of Ternopil.

Among them, three children, after an apartment block there was hit.

This resident feared for her son.

I went to work. heard the explosions. I called my son and said, Baudan, go to the shelter, get dressed. He answered,

Mom, I'm already up. Everything will be fine. Don't worry. But my son is still in the apartment on the ninth floor.

After this, I tried, calling, and I couldn't reach him. I know nothing.

Well, the BBC's defence correspondent Jonathan Beale has been following developments from the capital Keith.

There are two apartment blocks that have been hit, nine-story apartment blocks, residential blocks affected. and they have been, you can see the top floors

essentially taken out completely by these missile strikes. We have seen video on social media

of what happened this morning when those missiles were fired. Lots of the missiles across Ukraine

were shot down, along with the drones fired in in their hundreds,

but clearly some got through. Ukraine has got to cover a whole huge area, and the West is

particularly vulnerable to these attacks. It is not where Ukraine has concentrated its limited

air defence system. So it has been vulnerable in the past. It was

certainly vulnerable overnight, although other parts of the country were also hit. This was

much further from the front line and a city which is not used to these kinds of attacks on a

regular basis. It has been hit before, but this is the worst so far.
