18 years of the Paranormal Podcast and do we have a special for you names you'll recognize from the past and

0:08.1

Really superstars at the Paranormal Field. It's coming up next

0:11.6

This is the Paranormal Podcast with Jim Herald. Welcome to the Paranormal Podcast. I am Jim Herald

0:32.6

and so glad to be with you today and it is truly a red letter day here at the Paranormal Podcast

0:38.4

because this is part one of our 18th anniversary special and I think you're going to enjoy what we

0:45.3

have in store. On July 29th 2005, I started the Paranormal Podcast and as far as I know, it is the

0:54.2

longest running Paranormal Podcast on the internet and is going through the last 18 years of

1:00.8

interviews. I've been like, we got that person. We got that person. We got that person. I was just

1:07.8

amazed at the quality and amount of guests we've had over the years and it's been a lot of fun

1:39.1

that someone who's an investigator needs to know besides obviously knowledge of what the stuff is,

1:43.9

what the stamina is and what it isn't is interviewing skills because in general, we are going into

1:49.4

places where we're dealing with people. In fact, I'll be very honest, we don't go to places where

1:53.6

there are no living witnesses. Legendary places are all fun and games. You can go to a cemetery if

1:59.2

you want but it really doesn't provide any data other than some possible unusual reading from the

2:04.7

technology and there's nothing to check that against. You can't compare it against somebody's

2:08.2

experience so it's irrelevant for most of us. So interviewing skills is probably the key tool

2:13.8

and obviously observational skills along with that but for the heart tech, we use of course

2:19.2

paper quarters or digital recorders to record the interview sessions. It's I think it's really
