We got John C. Maxwell back on the show.

I gotta tell you I love this talk. I've watched this one many times

over. I hope you enjoy it as well. Mr Maxwell is talking about the steps that must be

taken if you want to lead your people, your team, your family through

successful change. He's going to talk about how to do the leadership dance, which I think is

crucial. And the part that stood out to me the most was when he's talking about having

a plan. See, some people have goals. Actually, a lot of people don't have goals, but some people

have goals, but then they never make a

plan for the goal and if they do make a plan for the goal and the plan doesn't

work then they just stop but the plan is always, what will they say?

God laughs at your plans, and so your plan is always going to change.

You have to be willing to make adjustments.

And it reminds me of when Magic Johnson took over, I think he was the general manager or vice president of basketball operations for the Los Angeles Lakers, and he fired the coach. and one thing he said about the coach

who wasn't like a terrible coach but it just wasn't working was that the

coach that he fired did not have the ability to make adjustments during the game.

And so you have to think about like, does that sound like you?

Are you not making adjustments to the plan as you executed and get feedback from what you did, right? And so set your

goal, make a plan, be willing to adjust it, and also do the leadership dance and be clear with what you want to change within your people.
