Hello and welcome to another episode of the Mark Groves podcast.

0:11.7

You know, the more I dive into the work of understanding relationships,

0:16.1

communication, how do we get better, how do we change our lives, how do we change how we show up,

0:20.6

how do we heal? Oh How do we change our lives? How do we change how we show up? How do we heal? Oh man,

0:23.1

the more I really continue to believe that so much of it is about the nervous system and

0:29.6

understanding our biology and removing our unstuckness. I'll give you an example. Like we can know

0:35.4

that we truly want great love. We can know that we truly want great love.

0:40.8

We can know that we truly want to create a beautiful relationship.

0:44.4

And not just romantic, but just a beautiful life, right?

0:49.2

And we can know that cognitively, but yet we can choose everything but that. We can allow limiting beliefs to never let us succeed.

0:52.9

We can self-sabotage and never let ourselves get

0:56.5

1:02.3

in an abusive relationship logically. No one would keep themselves small or not use their voice

1:07.7

logically. Right? There's so much beyond that happens in the unconscious and in the body that we don't even know

1:14.8

is happening.

1:15.5

We often don't even know, especially when we were young if we were just used to chaos

1:19.6

and dysregulation, we don't even know that we're dysregulated.

1:23.4

If that's our normal, then when we become regulated, we're like, what the heck? It's so calm and

1:28.9

peaceful. So I'm so excited that today I get to have a conversation with one of the best in the

1:34.3

game at understanding our nervous systems and how to heal it. Oh my gosh. You know, like, I often

1:40.7

think that the pathway isn't through the mind or words.

1:46.0

Like, it's obviously a contributing factor and it helps to understand logically what we're going through.
