Because this week on the podcast, we talk about the grossest Hong Kong filmmaker ever made.

The King of Slees, the Luccio Fulci of the Far East.

It is Kwai Chi Hong. Quai Chi Hong, probably most famous for The Boxer's Omen, the like top of the

heap gonzo Hong Kong in Sandy Film. A man best known for his horror movies, but who, like so many of the Shaw Brothers

Studios, contract directors made dozens of films in all genres from Wusha martial arts films

to juvenile delinquent melodramas. And he was the king of the international co-production,

working with an Italian director on Superman Go to the Orient and also the insane

mix of German sex comedy and Shaw Brothers martial arts film, which goes under a bunch of titles

in America.

It's known as the Bod Squad.

But it is most commonly known, I believe it's like the Seven Virgins of the sea or the sea of the virgins or stuff like that.

So this is the kind of guy we're talking about today.

This guy is a major discovery, folks.

He's also somebody that I feel very underqualified to talk about because like so many studio contract guys, it's just a vast filmography. There's so much in there,

and I'm really discovering him this week. So I hope you guys will come along with us and be
