So today I'd like to talk about what's at stake with the environment in this upcoming election.

I'm so glad to be here today and that you asked me that because there is so much at stake with the environment.

This is a really critical election.

The public, the voters have a clear

choice, very different perspectives, one being aimed toward ending regulation and relaxing the

burden on industry. And in the name of that, unfortunately, we've had a tremendous reversal

of our environmental gains in this country, whether it was the quality of our drinking water or climate.

And so there are clear choices here, very big differences, and it's important.

I think the American public really cares about the environment and our health, and the environment is essential to good health.
