πŸ“œ TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: John 14:8-11

Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.

Now I've got to hand it to Philip here.

Philip saw something, very, very important here. He saw that understanding or knowing the father is all that he really needed.

1:29.7

His gut told him that his instincts were telling telling him that if we could just know God

1:34.0

if we just really know him authentically genuinely that would be enough that would be

1:39.6

all we need do you feel that way Do you have that sense in your own heart that if you could

1:46.1

really know the Father that would be enough? That's that's all you need. Well you need

to listen to Jesus response in verse. Number nine, Jesus says,
