Yeah, the 12 reasons most bassists fail to ever get really good or actually just get good,

not even really good.

The 12 reasons most bases fail to get good, the awful reality.

And I kind of, I don't know, like, I'm excited when we were working out what we were going to talk about in this episode.

I was really excited about it.

But I haven't mentioned to you, but there was also this sort of element of dread as well.

Because I feel like we're going to be talking about the stuff that maybe people don't want us to talk about. Yeah. You know what I mean?

It's kind of mean, right? Kind of like a, like a, you know, kind of wrist-slappy maybe or sort of,

yeah, oh, an expose. An expose, but but but in all honesty like well the realities

i think that that what we're talking about here the 12 reasons why most basis to don't get any good

i think that that is a reality so that's number one and the reason i think and know it's a reality

is the amount of students that i've worked with them. I've been teaching for

nearly 30 years, like 29 years all in at this point or something like that. So I've worked with a lot of

students and I've seen a lot of students not get to where they were wanting to get to. And I think

that the interesting thing is

that it's easy to think that, oh, it's because they're not practicing. In fact, that's the number

one on the list of the 12 things. You're not actually practicing. Duh. Well, if you're not

practicing, you're probably not going to get any better, right? So let's get that one out of the way with.

But what I want to say about that is that that's sometimes, and a lot of the time,

not the reality of why somebody's not getting better.
