Singing bowls have been prevalent in Asia for thousands of years.

A mallet wrapped in leather is rubbed around the edge of the bowl in a process similar to using a wet fingertip

to produce a musical tone from the edge of a wine glass.

The bull begins to slightly change shape, its edge shifting from round to oval, that creates

a series of waves on the water's surface, starting from the edge of the bowl.

More and more energy can be put into the rubbing, changing the smooth symmetrical waves into a roiling mass of water,

fizzing with droplets and chaotic waves.

Slow motion video of the process shows how these waves crash into each other and droplets tear free into the air.

Under certain conditions, droplets like the one at the left can actually bounce on the surface of the water.

At this point the defamation of the bowl's edge can actually be seen as it squeezes from one oval

shape into another. They would have said to you right as a little tiny child said, God we have no idea

what you are we don't even know what sex you are you have to choose everything for

yourself and we will investigate all of these things. Okay,
