Summary

In today’s episode, Rob and I discuss the connections between soil health and our personal health. Here are three key takeaways that I think you'll find interesting:  Did you know the health of our soil directly impacts our health? Rob explains how microorganisms in healthy soil are vital for nutrient exchange with plants. Prioritizing quantity in agriculture has reduced nutrient density in our food, but regenerative practices can restore its nutritional value.  Glyphosate, a widely used herbicide, is not just harmful to the environment; it also poses risks to our health. Rob discusses how glyphosate disrupts the soil microbiome, which in turn affects plant health and ultimately our gut health. With rising concerns about gut-related issues and chronic diseases, it's crucial to be aware of what we’re consuming. Choosing organic and non-GMO foods can help reduce our exposure to harmful chemicals like glyphosate.  Rob highlights the concept of "forest bathing," which involves immersing ourselves in natural environments to reap mental and physical health benefits. Studies show that just a couple of hours in nature can boost our immune system and improve our overall well-being. In a world where many of us spend over 90% of our time indoors, reconnecting with nature is more important than ever. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did! That sounds like a crazy topic, people. So don't run away because we're not just talking about dirt if so that

1:12.3

would be a boring podcast maybe but dirt actually is fascinating how it's connected to our health

1:18.8

and everything in the dirt so hold on everybody but rob thank you for being here but before we begin

1:24.7

will you tell my listeners just a little bit about yourself and your background?

Yeah, I started as somebody who had my own health issues and explored the conventional models

and wasn't finding the greatest of solutions for my particular concerns. And as I look deeper into
