James you know we talk about all the disagreements in Washington there is one thing Republicans

and Democrats agree on.

The Medicare Trust Fund will be insolven in five years or so as it's pumping out more

money than it's taken in and that would trigger automatic sizable cuts.

So what do you do about it?

You got to do something about it right?

President Biden offered a serious proposal.

Increase the Medicare tax that wealthy Americans pay on investment income from 3.8% to 5%.

It's only an earned income over $400,000 and also expand Medicare's ability to negotiate

prescription drug prices to reduce cost.

Republicans are outraged.
