Wow, here we are ten years. It's the ten year anniversary of No Guitar is Safe, the guitar show where guitar heroes plug in. I am still Jew to Gold. I can't believe 10 years have gone by. Really went by in a flash. But here we are, episode 187. And who better than to have Brad Gillis come back? Because as some of you know, he was technically the first interview I ever did.

0:42.4

So I wanted to have him come back.

0:44.7

Of course, I had done a million interviews for the magazine, but then I had to launch this show.

0:50.7

I had to bring out an interview series where it's just a guitar hang with an incredible

0:56.6

guitar hero, whether they were actually famous or whether they were up and coming on the rise or

I mean, landed the helicopter at somebody's house and brought in a bunch

1:30.2

of microphones to record an interview, but it just went great. Brad's, his whole life adventure

1:35.6

is just one of the best, one of the most riveting the way he came up in the club scene, got

1:41.6

the call to audition for Ozzy Osbourne, took over after the horrifying

1:46.3

death of Randy Rhodes, and, you know, went on to forge a very successful career with Night Ranger.

1:56.1

That band is still going strong. Of course, in the early days, they had Jeff Watson and alongside Brad for the

2:04.5

twin guitar attack these days. It's Carrie Kelly. Just a great band. I've been lucky to play with

2:10.9

them in recent years, not with them, but like I play with Jefferson Starship and we end up on

2:15.0

bills together in the classic rock circuit.

2:19.1

So it's just been fun to be with Brad over the years and boom, I was like, you know what,
