Welcome to the Dear Body podcast. I'm your host, Jesse Jean, and this is a show dedicated to my fellow ambitious, goal-driven women who want to feel in flow and in momentum in their life instead of perpetually feeling behind.

We have a lot of discussion around here on how to have a

0:22.7

healthy relationship with food, fitness, and your body. I share some pretty unique and effective

0:28.0

strategies for healing, but we go way beyond that. And we have conversations around creating

0:33.6

clarity in your life, setting goals, mastering habits, up-leveling, becoming the most

0:39.3

confident and embodied version of yourself, all while reducing overwhelm, being present,

0:44.5

and prioritizing the things that matter most.

0:51.0

Hey, you guys, welcome back to the podcast.

I want to talk about something that I feel like a lot of us can relate to, and that is wanting to feel strong and pursue fitness goals and feel healthy and feel confident in our own skin. But at the same time, you don't want to become one of those people who obsesses over every single

1:24.4

with you guys today is some of the things that have really helped me find that sweet spot where I'm able to pursue my fitness goals without falling into that kind of obsessive and guilt-driven mindset.

1:38.3

1:47.8

bullshit and we take it back. And we remember what its purpose is and what it's supposed to do for

1:54.0

us. And I want to make a distinction right out the gate. I think that when you go on a journey to

2:00.7

heal your relationship with food

2:02.5

and to have a healthier relationship with exercise and you start to plug in to different

2:08.1

food freedom podcast or communities or read different books so many times. The clients that I've

2:14.8

worked with inside of my program have said they feel guilt or they feel

2:18.8

shame or they feel like they shouldn't have appearance-related goals, aesthetic-related goals,

2:24.1

or weight loss-related goals because everywhere you turn in the food freedom community,

2:29.4

you are told that those things are toxic, that you need to let go of those goals because they're unhealthy.
