Welcome to the show, folks. This is wrestling change my life. Here we go.

My wife called. She was like, hey, the house is on fire. And I'm like thinking

myself, like, it's just a little thing. And I looked up and I'm, I'm, you know,

10, 15 miles away at the time. I look up and I can see smoke.

We can endure anything and adapt and pivot and change.

Wrestling gave us that ability.

I would say nothing in life has impacted me more than the things wrestling has taught me

in terms of self-reflection, resilience, toughness. Some guys have it, some guys don't.

Adversity, 100%. How to pick myself up and be a man after I failed.

And everything that has shaped my life and what I'm at today would not be there without the

values and basically the lessons I've learned to the sport of wrestling. For me, wrestling

will save my life because it allowed me to focus and channel my energy.

We're fortunate if you wrestled because if you wrestled, natural talent helps,

but it's it's 5% of the ingredient. It pales in comparison to heart and technique and effort.

It humbled me, taught me humility. Nothing can humble you more than wrestling.

I think it's the learning to adapt, right? You learn how to adapt. You learn how to solve problems.

You know, probably back in my time, that's good wrestling. If you give me one thing more than

anything else, it's mental toughness. Brian Madeline is our guest today, ladies and gentlemen.

I can't tell you how excited I am for this interview. Madeline is the head coach of the Illinois

RTC and before that created a high school dynasty at Washington, Illinois. He's been one of the

top Greco coaches in the country. He led team Illinois to 19 national championships along with

many others, but he was really instrumental in creating the team Illinois dynasty as well.
