And let's talk about these two guys. These two guys, they're in their cars racing.

They're a pedal to the metal speeding for very different reasons, but it just seemed like time was of the essence.

Peter's stepping on the pedal because his wife is sick.

He needs to get to her ASAP. He's worried about her.

What if something happens before he gets there? What if she's seriously sick?

Larry's in his car. He's confused. He's speeding. He's panicked.

He had just seen his girlfriend earlier in the day, but now he's worried that something happened to her.

She's not picking up her phone. Weird things were happening recently.

Someone broke into her house. Someone gave her a flat tire. They deliberately let the air out of just one tire.

What if she's not answering because someone got to her? What if they heard her?

Both men were in their cars just hands gripping on that steering wheel until their knuckles turned white.

They were racing to the same woman.

And they both knew it. Maybe they secretly hoped that the one that would get there first will be the one that she chooses.

But both of them would walk away alone, head hung, tears forming in their eyes, grief just taking over every part of their body.

Because she would choose neither of them. She couldn't choose between them because someone had taken her life.

It's a really good book. Ken is a reporter. He's able to do a deep dive into this complex case and the attention to detail is amazing considering there's so many messy people involved.

There is not one person in this case where I'm like, oh that's a normal person. His writing style is captivating. He's incredibly informative.

But it also, like the book makes you feel the beating heart of the case. It makes you feel for the people that are involved.

So with that being said, let's get right into it.
