It's the Jack Slack podcast, and we're coming at you following UFC 304, which was in Manchester,

which is in England, which is in the UK. And it was an event of goods, bads and uglies.

Lots to talk about today.

We got moral quandaries of whether it's right to cut a fighter for being boring.

We got big questions like,

should the champion of the world be judged for being boring?

And we're back on the Paddy Pimbleau appreciation train because his

fight wasn't boring. Other big questions like, is John Jones a massive pussy? And why are they

randomly changing the sum of the bonuses on cards that are like 304 and nothing particularly

special is happening? It's not an anniversary. What's going on? I've got to say this card especially made me just something about this almost broke me because

yes it was in the UK. No it was not on UK time. The main event started at something like 6am.

UK time, local time. So there were lots of great clips of people filming their mate falling asleep in the

seat before the main event started, which, you know, if you spent a couple of hundred pounds

on a ticket or more, that's a bit unfortunate. But I always think you're mad to go to these things

anyway, because when you get out, you're going to be bewildered and tired, the train's probably not running.

Actually, by 7am, they probably are, so maybe that's the other end of it.

But I remember when Bissping fought Henderson, a fight that no one except the British would care about

because Dan Henderson was like 45 years old and obviously washed.

They still put it on at a weird staggered time and the arena

turned everyone out at 5am so there was nowhere for anyone to go. And everyone who went just

wandered around tired outside the arena. But yes, this wasn't on UK time so I watched it the day
