In this episode I'm chatting with Andrew Taylor, creator of The Spud Fit Challenge! Andrew was a former junior Australian champion marathon kayaker and high school P.E. teacher who sought to overcome food addiction, anxiety, and depression by eating only potatoes for an entire year! Andrew shares the story of why he decided to only eat potatoes for a year, the guidelines of the Spud Fit challenge, and how it affected his overall health. We discuss moderation versus abstienance, food addiction versus alcoholism, and using food to avoid emotions. We also discuss the social aspect of eating, the unexpected effects of his potato diet, and how Andrew eats now.
