Welcome back to The Incomparable podcast.

I am your host, Jason Snell.

And when we were coming up with the idea for this podcast those many years ago, I actually have a tweet. Somebody suggested we do a Babylon 5 episode,

and I said, absolutely, we're absolutely going to do it. And it turns out we are going to do it

before we hit number 200. But yeah, it took a while. But it's finally happening.

I have gathered together people I know who, like me, watched all of and treasure Babylon

5, the 1990s-era sci-fi series written by J. Michael Strzinski, starring a large and rotating

cast of people, telling an epic story that

was meant to go for five years, except they kind of crammed it into four because they were

afraid they were going to get canceled, and then they didn't get canceled. So then they had to

like say, okay, let's tell some other stories now. But anyway, I look back on the series with

great fondness. It definitely is of its time in some ways.

But in watching some episodes back, I was really, I really enjoyed it and was reminded why I loved it so much.

So we're going to talk about Babylon 5 and joining me to talk.
