and there's a huge fight really now that the American pro-choice movement has on its hands in order to protect abortion.

What was your reaction to this and you think the pro-choice movement over there is up to the fight that it's got in front of it?

Oh that is a depressing question because I think most of them understand that they're not and that it really is quite a bleak picture in America at the moment.

I don't think anyone was really that surprised that Roe fell because all the signs were there in relation to the justices that had been appointed to the Supreme Court of

late and there had been, you know, people like Amy Conan Barrett being very open about her position

as someone who was anti-choice or pro-life and so it didn't really come as a surprise and you know

the sort of nature of American politics it's hard to get your head around and

particularly someone from the UK, is that there is no real easy fix to this. You know, there have been suggestions, ludicrous suggestions really, that, you know, Biden should bring in an executive emergency action of
