I have just finished a discussion with Neil Shenvie about Christian nationalism.

I invited a co-host to come on with me this time and that's Christa Bond-Trigger.

So, Christa and I got to talk with Neil and ask him about what's the new developments

in the Christian nationalist conversation.

Now, if you recall, if you've been longtime listeners of the podcast, you'll remember

that maybe a year ago, I did an episode about Christian nationalism with Neil.

And I would, you don't have to watch that one for this one to be relevant, but if you

want to go back into the archives and listen to that one first, that'll lead you right

up into the conversation we're having right now.

So that book, that was a review of the book, Taking America Back For God by Whitehead and

Perry, who timed a lean a little bit more on the left side of things.

Sort of, that book caused a lot of people to use the Christian nationalist label at their

political opponents.

I guess you could say, but in the past couple of years, there have been more developments

where there have been self-professed evangelical Christians making a positive case for Christian

nationalism and saying, hey, yes, we are Christian nationalists.

And so Neil also reviewed the book, The Case for Christian Nationalism by Stephen Wolf.
