And what a lovely introduction for the introduction of Carol Pope who is going to be our guest on this episode.

She wrote a book called anti-diva. It's an autobiography and news we call it a total piece of shit just kidding. Just kidding. It's just a little joke there.

No, the Toronto star hails it as the kind of book you take in single gulp for fear of losing step with its breathless Pope noir piece.

It is a page turner, right?

It's also as the Globe and Mail heralds quite fondly deeply enjoyable and unexpectedly deft its Pope is saucy and willing to say just about anything refreshingly Pope does not feel the need to apologize in any way for this behavior or to seek forgiveness.

There is no closure no reckoning no theory of if needs on mountop's or a coast or recon yoga retreats interesting. I don't relate to any of that none at all.

None at all actually the book is so fucking good. It's fantastic. It's so good. I don't know how to read Craig and this book cured my insomnia and my depression and gave me literacy and clipped up your skin.

He said something about that earlier. Well, my rosacea came back from the book from the book. But that's because I was bashing it against my face and then that just looked it was bruising that looked like that.

That'll strip your expoliation. Yeah, but the kids at home will be pleased to know that divine legendary drag figure divine features prominently and the book.

And then there's a way, wait, wait, wait, what the hell and shit? How can I find that fucking thing?

Thank you. Carol Pope for those of you who aren't familiar with her work yet. She was the singer of a tremendously pioneering band in the 70s called Rough Trade. She has a brand new song out now. It's fantastic. It's called This is not a test. We'll be posting clips of it on the Instagram and the Twitter.

And Carol Pope in addition to working with Rough Trade has been in and around some incredible scenes in the show business world and has worked with that is the world of show business.

Yeah, world in and around and of the show business. Yeah, hailing originally from Canada, Carol now splits her time between LA and Canada. And she's worked with everyone from David Bowie to divine.

And so in her long career of live performing, she recounted a in the book on page 91. A man in the audience jerked off into his shoe during one of our sets. We could see him shooting his load from the stage.

The band couldn't get enough of that. The burning question was did the guy put the shoe back on his foot? Incredible.
