Get an email from a young man and I'm not going to use his name at all.

And he's talking about getting caught up in behavior and habits that he knows are wrong and he gets disgusted with himself, falls back into it, gets disgusted with himself.

He's a believer and he's just tired of it.

In terms of there are many who can relate.

Yeah, so he's a teenager. He's really adept with the Bible. He knows where Paul talks about, why do I do it? I don't want to do it.

Everybody can relate at some level.

That was one of the things in my response. My response is far from perfect. I was in a hurry.

I just thought I'd read it to you and hopefully it'll make some sense.

So I wrote to him, I totally understand all of this, all of it.

And I love the way you summed up the email. His RE line and the email is genius.

Remember, there's a teenage guy.

It was how not to love what you love.

That's really genius. How do I not love this? I don't want to, and I clearly do because I keep going back to it.

And I said, I think it's interesting to that Paul, could you mention Paul and then why do I do it?

I said, Paul called himself chief of sinners, present tense.

Like he had a real problem on his hands, present tense.

He also talked about his thorn in his flesh, which we've talked about.

That's something that's stuck, a thorn is stuck. So you're feeling stuck.

I said, some people have ventured to guess that what Paul was talking about was a physical malady,

but I don't think that stands up in the context.

Because Paul talks about how it humbles him to have this thorn.
