Welcome to another episode of Sincerely Fortune. It's a girl fortune.

And it's good to talk to you guys. I'm sorry this podcast is coming out a little late this week. My week

totally changed from what I thought it was going to be. This was supposed to be my off week, where I had a minute to kind of catch up on everything.

And that did not happen. I got back from my shows. Got a phone call last minute to get on another plane to New York City,

where I filmed the Colbert show on CBS, which was exciting because you know we've been on the strike for a few months,

and all of the late night shows were down, but they're back.

The writer strike has ended. They got an awesome deal, which is great. I'm part of that union. Very cool to see that.

The strike is still continuing right now for the actors. They're working on the deal. Now hopefully that gets ratified soon.

Uh, everyone would love to get back to work. Um, and just happy to see, you know, progress being made for all the hard workers out there.

So that's why yeah, things did not quite go as planned. But a lot of stuff to catch you guys up on last time we talked.

I was telling you guys about what was going on with my dad. He had open heart surgery. It got complicated.

It looks really scary there for a while. He was on the ventilator for four days and his blood pressure was just not evening out.

And the nurse told me I was able to go home and see him. The nurse told me she was really nervous for him.

It wasn't looking good there for a minute. They thought he might have to have another surgery.

Nobody was confident that he could make it through another surgery.

And all of us were kind of facing that like, oh boy, what if this is bad?

And it's a weird thing. It's a weird thing to have with one of your parents. I mean, I'm lucky enough that both my parents are still alive.
