Summary

Kim Vincenty is an OCD superstar! She is a mother, wife, OCD advocate, speaker, and support group facilitator who has spent the past 10 years fostering community and helping families find the best resources for mental health education, intervention and recovery. She most recently served as the president for OCD Jacksonville, an affiliate of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). Kim is currently an IOCDF Advocate. 0:41.4	And I have a super great guest who is very experienced in the world of OCD, I would say.

1:03.0	to before I get carried away in all the things that I love about what you're doing,
1:07.9	and I love about the Fearless collection. So tell us all the things
1:11.5	about you. Well, thank you for having me. I'm Kim and I'm the mom of an OCD sufferer who was
1:18.3	diagnosed at age 10. He's now 29 and still living with OCD and we're still learning how to navigate it.
1:26.4	I, you know, was completely blindsided by his diagnosis and how quickly he became debilitated.
1:36.0	And then I made it my mission that he wasn't going down under my watch.
1:40.5	So I learned everything I could about OCD and learned to advocate for him. And then as he
1:48.0	went off to college and got better, I decided I wanted to do more OCD advocacy because I had
1:55.8	learned so much. And in my day, there was very little out there about OCD and OCD resources. So I thought I could
2:04.0	maybe help other families better navigate what I learned through the School of Hard Knocks.
2:09.6	So I joined OCD Jacksonville, which is an affiliate of the OCD Foundation. And I was with them for eight years as vice president and then president.
