As always, I am your host, Jesse Leframboise, and on today's episode, we wanted to take some time to discuss the idea of how to better study your Bible.

So as Christians, we rightly believe that the Bible is the very word of God.

And while we have teachers who teach it to us on an individual level, Christians

will benefit greatly from learning how to read and how to study the Bible for themselves.

So with so many people coming to Christ during these chaotic, crazy days, Aaron wanted to take a little bit of time to help to

equip people to better read and study their Bible. So Aaron, just as a brief introduction to this

topic, how about you briefly discuss why this is important? The Word of God is life-changing.

The Bible declares that when the word goes out,

it doesn't return to God void. It accomplishes the purposes that God has designed for it to accomplish

in the life of the receiver. So that includes rebuke. It includes encouragement. It includes

equipping and righteousness. It includes a transformed mind,

which leads to a transformed mouth, a transformed heart, transformed hands. It affects the whole

man. And therefore, it's always a benefit and always a blessing when we study God's word.

Of course, we can sit passively and listen to God's word

preached, and God will use that to bless us. But there's also an active dimension where we need to

lean in and pursue truth from God's word by studying it. I would say the word of God is life-giving

in the purest sense of the word.
