Today we're going to be taking a close look at Nintendo's next release, Kirby and the Forgotten Land Plus StarCross World.

I had to say this over and over and over again to get the name right.

You didn't. So long. You still did it wrong. You forgot to say Switch 2 Edition. It's one of the world's longest video game names. It's a terrible name. It's not great. But the game looks good. And we want to talk about it. And we have a really fun story time about this big leak. A leak?

That happened with new Super Mario Brothers Wee.

And then I have promised to tell you about my trauma.

I do want to know about this.

And my grudge that I'm holding around this story time.

Thankfully, it's not a grudge I'm holding against you. But I'm still, years later, how many years has it been? I'm on pins and needles to hear this. How many years has it been? I don't know. Since this game came out. That would be, that was 09, so that'd be 16 years. I've held this grudge, and I will continue to hold this grudge for 16 years. Wow. I'm very mad still.

Even thinking about it now, I'm a little mad.

We're talking about that game because that was a short-lived rumor about, oh, the 40th anniversary is going to have new Super Mario Brothers. So that just in our minds is like, oh, we got this story that we can tell. Exactly. Anyway, I'm realizing I chose the wrong shirt to wear today because we're talking about Kirby and Mario and here I am in a Zelda shirt.

Awesome.

You really need to just change your clothes. Well, again, I don't have very many to choose from. I don't have any Kirby clothes. Like how cute this Kirby is. That's nice. And then we have a lot of, we figured out that around the studio we had some Kirby stuff. We have, of course, the beautiful neon light. The very official, the very official Kirby with a knife. Kirby, going to cut you Kirby. This is me in a neon light. Cute, but also dangerous. This is you holding a grudge. This is me holding a 16-year-old grudge. And also a knife.

And then we found the Kirby that you said was too fat, which I was very upset. I'm not convinced that's going to make it for a two-hour podcast, but we'll say. How dare you say that about Kirby? How dare you? He's rotund. He's very cute. Good. Very cute. We yesterday recorded our Donkey Kong Bonanza spoiler cast.

I'm so excited that we were able to do that.

You were very disparaging of doing a spoiler cast on Bonanza and finally you gave in.

But it was a great episode, I thought. Excellent spoiler cast. I'm excited we could talk about some of these topics. We got into some valuable life lessons that hopefully people can enjoy. Yes. And that will... Deep conversations. That will be out... This week. Imminently? This week. Can I say that? Yes. Eminently. Yes. Quite literally this week. Yes. Because we're off to Gamescom on Saturday, this coming Saturday. You didn't know that. I thought it was the next week. So we're going next week, right? I totally thought it was next week. And then I was like, I looked at the calendar. I was like, oh wait.

What?

But I'm excited.
