What was in 2007?

Oh, well, that was the year of There Will Be Blood and No Country for Old Ben also.

Wow, do people still say, like, There Will Be Blood is my favorite movie of all time.

I think it's been perhaps succeeded in people's estimations by future Paul Thomas

Anderson films.

But those are years that I often hear brought up as, oh, those were a great movie year.

But in particular, because now we're at the 20th anniversary of this year.

In fact, there's a new book out called Best Movie Year Ever, with periods after every word,

how 1999 blew up the screen.

This is a year that is particularly brought about.

Tiff recently did a retrospective, which was very easy to go, okay, what were the movies that people

were talking about? And looking at that list of films, didn't really film me was that much,

oh, yes, 1999 was the best year in films.

Right. Inspector Gadget, Stuart Little, Yep. Dogma. I saw Stuart Little in theaters, and I was baffled as I was probably a little bit old for it because I was 12 at the time. I didn't find it all that confusing. Wait, how did the mouse get born? What kind of sexual act had to happen? It was they were having sex in one of those, like, the fly machines.

Yeah, that's right.
