This series, we talk about mysteries and deaths abroad.

So this week, we are going to go to a place where we have not been

yet. I think I've said that every time now, but every time it's true. So this time we are going to

Bergen, Norway. And this story is about the Istel woman, and this case has yet to be solved.

This was not planned, but in the news, what, yesterday or today, a person from Noray shot somebody,

did a mass shooting with a bow and arrow. Was that in Norway? That was in Norway. I saw that. That is, yeah, that's wild.

So crazy things happen in Norway and this will not be an exception. So November 29th,

1970, a man and his two young daughters. Now, they were just hiking along the foothills of the North Face Mountain

in Norway. This is actually known as Ice Valley, I guess because of the glaciers in that area,

but it's more commonly known to the locals as Death Valley. Now, it got this nickname because

it was a very popular spot for people to commit suicide

in and around the Middle Ages, but skipped forward to the 1960s, and also a group of hikers

fell to their death from the high cliffs there.

So where our story takes us is at the bottom of those really tall cliffs. Now, while hiking, this

small hiking group, this family noticed the smell of burnt flesh. And it was actually one of the

daughters who came across a woman whose remains were charred. They hurried back to the town in

Bergen and immediately notified the police.
