Organic REV

The first thing to understand about REV is that it is not an ordinary humic acid product that is chemically-extracted from leonardite, lignite, or other coals.  Rather, it is a 100% naturally-occurring carbon, humic acid & fulvic acid source - along with exceptionally high levels of naturally-occurring microbial biomass that can increase nitrogen efficiency by up to 25%.

REV replaces depleted soil carbon & bacterial biomass - and absorbs nutrients to make them more readily available to plants via their root systems.

Hey there, so wonderful to have you listening to the Beginners Garden Podcast on one of these beautiful April days.

0:07.2

It's such a fun time of year, isn't it?

0:09.9

Depending on where you're located and at what stage your garden is at, you may be wondering what you can do to attract more pollinators to your garden.

0:19.9

Maybe you had a disappointing squash harvest last year

0:23.5

and you realized that hand pollinating wasn't as fun as it seemed. Or maybe you just started seeing

0:29.5

different pollinators in your landscape and you want to do what you can to support them and even

0:33.8

invite more. I get so many questions about attracting pollinators to the vegetable garden.

0:40.3

And today I'm going to share with you a special guest to the podcast. This is Kim Ierman,

0:45.9

and she is the author of the book, The Pollinator Victory Garden. I got a copy of this book

0:51.9

back in the fall, and I read it just as a lot of the pollinators were scavenging around, getting their last pollen that they could before winter set in.

1:01.0

And after I read her book, I took a trip to a local native plant nursery. I spent probably way too much money there, but I was able to buy some plants that I knew

1:11.2

would be able to start blooming this year to attract an even more diverse array of pollinators

1:18.1

and beneficial insects.

1:19.8

But spring is also a great time to plant many of these plants.

1:23.8

When we have those beneficial insects at top of mind, then we can start planting around them

1:29.3

to be able to attract them and support them. So how do we do that, especially as beginning gardeners?

1:35.5

Today, Kim is going to share her thoughts on how we can do this, whether we are a brand new beginner

1:41.1

or whether we've been doing this for a while and we're wanting to incorporate even more plants

1:46.4

into our landscape that can support the environment

1:49.6

of the organic garden that we plan to have.
