Your first four years have been spectacular.

And your dear old dad has loved every single second you've been part of this world.

We are celebrating your fourth

birthday in the great state of Maine where so many of my memories are and now we

are making beautiful memories with you. This place is filled with wonderful people who have lived so much life up here.

Some of them will be here for your birthday party and some of them will be with us in spirit.

But I hope you will find like I have that you feel this place is a place of memories and that this is your real home.

I love you little man and I wish great things for you. You are smart, you are strong, you are funny, and you are so very, very kind that I can already see the man that you're shaping up to be.

I can barely stand it, I love you so much. Sometimes it actually scares me. I am an older father and I really think it's a good

thing because being older means I can appreciate you all the more and boy do I

appreciate you. Your mother and I still watch you on your little baby

monitor when you go to sleep and the other day your mom said she wanted to keep that

monitor in your room until you're 10. After 10 probably a good idea to get it out of there. I pretty much

agreed that I'd like to do that too. Four years old today Michael William
