welcome back to another episode and today's show is just all about players who

aren't good enough to start in the NBA, apparently.

Our friends, J Kyle Mann and Sir It Zoe

they have a wonderful little podcast on the ringer,

and they did this really cool cool we're going to talk about

bench players and six men and they did this great dive into the history of the

six man award and they brought up something that has always been like a curiosity to me about the Six Man Award, which is it is an award that acknowledges the best player who is not good enough to start.

So like if you're good enough to start, you would never win this award,

but then once you get just not good enough to start if you come off the bench you can win the award

and that's obviously a bit of a dichotomy because teams will you know put their fourth best

player on the bench if they have redundancy or things like that but it's just it's always

been a funny award to me and then in

discussing the bench players this season with all the injuries and the the

quote-unquote load management where players are trying to you know like stay rested

and things like that. There's so

many players around the league that we looked at Cody who have started like 15 or

20 or 25 games they're in the lineup they're out of the. So we're just trying to figure out, like,

where's the line anymore, who qualifies for six men of the year.

is to discuss the best players off the bench and my my fascination with this at this point in time is really

guys who aren't volume scores guys who aren't in that Lou Williams,
