Why are we here, not entirely clear?

We are misfits, thrust into existence by random chance,

with no hints at all as to how we're supposed to make sense of it all

Moat Marine Laboratory and Aquarium. You listeners may know one of the very first podcast episodes. and Mode Aquarium and I'm here talking with Dr. Tracy Finara who's joining me and this is so

exciting because I reached out I had no idea I kind of stay away from the news. I try to stay away from screens in

general if I can. I've been trying to cut them out of my life. And I didn't know about this

national news with this red tide coming in and I just reached

out to Moat and they just assumed I was calling to talk about that and I just serendipitously happen to be here and you the listener will get to hear all about this

And can you tell me and the listeners a little bit about your role here and what you do?

And maybe a bit of your background as well because I saw within there something I wanted to

ask you about your background includes storm chasing at some point.

Yes.

It's exciting and I want to hear about that too. So introduce

yourself. So I am a scientist and environmental engineer. I got my BS

M. E and PhD from the University of Florida in environmental engineering doing

hydrological restoration, which is stormwater treatment and design, basically promoting infiltration
