It's true, the Bible has been used for a lot of bad stuff.

People justify horrible, horrible, horrible things.

And they try to hang in the Bible somewhere.

Oh, it's okay.

They've done that with a million things.

Slavery comes to mind.

I mean, some people try to use the Bible to justify slavery.

You know what? They also use justify slavery and Nazism and Communism and all sorts of horrible things of science.

But you know what? I don't kick science to the curb because people have used it to justify horrible things.

They'll think there's something to the scientific method.

So I don't want to do that with a Bible either.

Because somebody twisted it to use, well, they'll twist anything at their disposal to try to justify evil.

I don't want their evil to stop me from knowing a God who loves me.

I'm not going to let that happen.

Some people think that Jesus gave his life on the cross or that they put him on the cross because he said everybody should be nice to each other.

People think that?

Yeah, I just read again. There's an exchange of a couple people and somebody said, well, his real crime was he said be kind to one another.

And someone was so outraged by that.
