Well, we've got quite a serious subject on the podcast today. Satan and the powers of

evil. What was that famous line from CS Lewis about? I think it begins the screw tape letters

about the extent to which we shouldn't believe in.

Yeah, he's treading a fine line and he says it seems that Christians go one way or the

other.

Either, oh, this is a lot of old mythology, or we get rather obsessively interested.

And Lewis, of course, had friends who were into different types of magic. Charles Williams

was into the white magic and Lewis distinguished white and black magic. And that comes out

in some of his novels as well. And there's a sense that Lewis and some of his friends were
