Maybe yeah, or maybe I've gotten divorced from the old F1 and I have a new flame lighting my heart on fire because boy boy, you got a Ferrari. Oh, yeah, yeah, exactly. Maybe I'm just going to join

I spent four days and three nights in death valley, backwater, backcountry doing it. Actually, there was a place called backwater. It was 200 feet under sea level and doing doing overlanding in my Jeep. So I've come back. I survived. I did not fall off the cliff. You are an American. I know rice. On pole position, one char la claire of Ferrari, a pipping max for staff and in qualifying by, oh, just over a 10th, in third place, the Ferrari teammate Carlos signs and just behind him, the other red bull, Sergio Perez, then in fifth place, we get to the first of the Mercedes cars, Lewis Hamilton, starting fifth alongside Valtaribotus, which

makes a wait a minute. Valtaribotus is in now for a mayo. Yeah, he got some, he got some speed at it, I think. Yes, yes, he did more than Lewis's teammate, George Russell, who is further down the grid behind

Valtaribotus in seventh place, you guessed it, Kevin Magnuson in his house. Unbelievable. Like right at the gate, we said it, we said it last week, like this is going to be such an amazing, like, range finder for mix humacker as well, because last year, you know, he kind of, you know, had an empty seat almost, especially in those early races. And let's be honest, an empty car too. Yeah, a spinning, you know, a spinning car.

Kind of, you know, yeah, in eighth place, we've got Fernando Alonzo, then comes George Russell in ninth and Pierre Gasly rounds out the top 10, just behind him, we've got Esteban O'Conn, Mick Schumacher in the other

house, Landon Norris, he and Ricardo, by the way, are the only ones starting on the medium tire, which remember, we have, if you've been watching from the

moment for a while, we've got free choice of tire to start on, no more weird Q2 qualifying rule, you get to start on whatever tire you want. Yeah, really opened up strategy, kind of buried in there as

well as Mick Schumacher's, if that had happened last year, we'd be going, whoa, a grid star. Yeah, so fair play to him, 12th place, Magnuson kind of takes the edge off that a little bit, but yeah, really well done. Yes, just behind Norris, in 14th place, we've got Alex Albon, and then Guanyu Joe in his debut race, which I've

noticed the sky and Formula One teams have been calling him, Joe Guanyu. Yeah, that's top of my notes. Where are we going? Are we going? They kind of floated both ways too, because obviously he was, he was Guanyu Joe, I think until the broadcast started, and someone was like, hey, this is going to be airing in China. Yes, you say last names first in China. Yes, family name first, but, but yeah, because in his prior career, obviously they have to, they always refer to him as Guanyu.

And this is a fairly common thing, whenever you have a Westerners talking about Chinese athletes, but, and Croft, he can't come back and force, so yeah, a couple of times he caught himself, so yeah, I wonder what you can tell someone. There's some directive from, you know, Formula One or Skyrider, I'll probably just, because I can't form it too. I'll default probably to Guanyu Joe. Yeah, I'm so, yeah, unless there's like a, yeah, there's, there's a strong.

Unless he says it himself, because we've had that before, you know, with, uh, what was it, Dali Kivash did not want to be called Daniel. Do you remember that? Right.

It happens every once in a while, just the name is even different. Even the Claire is like, my name's Charles LeClair. LeClair, yeah, he knew that he was speaking to an English audience who might have trouble with

Charles. The ones that have to worry about is that people keep referring to make Schumacher's Michael by accident. That's like more than ever. It's, it's, it's, I think he corrects himself. I think he corrects himself like three, like I'm like 30 seconds later, I feel like Croft, he like wrote it down at a piece of paper and slid it over to him or something, because he, or maybe he heard something in his ear, it's pretty good.

So I drove in last night. So I watched this at like eight hours ago at midnight. I watched. Oh, did you, did you hear? No, I had had COVID. I know what I watched qualifying. So I watched everything. So I was up for like two more hours because I watched all the qualifying and then watched all the race.
