Our guest today is Ambassador Kelly Curry. She was appointed Ambassador at Large for Global Women's Issues by President Trump in 2019.

She served simultaneously as the U.S. Representative at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

Prior to her appointment, she led the Department of State's Office of Global Criminal Justice

and served under Ambassador Nikki Haley as the United States representative to the UN Economic and Social Council and representative to the UN General Assembly.

One question that Aaron and I had right away when we thought about interviewing her was,

What is facing women around the world?

And come to find out it's not abortion rights.

But she unpacks all the things that the women around the world are facing, and it's hard to even imagine in America the things that we take for granted.

The other thing that is interesting about the ambassador is that she is a southern girl.

So you'll hear that sweet accent from her. And you might even hear mine thicken a little bit because I'm also from the South. And so when we get to, when I get together with Southern sisters, it comes out just a little bit. So I hope you enjoy. Ambassador Kelly Curry, thank you so much for being on our podcast.
