In this episode we're breaking down the enormous tragedy that was Jonestown. Jim Jones founded the People's Temple in 1954 and after quickly gaining a large following, promised members they would start their very own socialist utopia in South America. What should have been a paradise turned into a living hell when Jim Jones descended quickly into a drug fueled paranoia. Members soon realized leaving Jonestown wasn't an option and what Jim Jones described as a revolutionary suicide, was actually a mass murder.
