You won't live in a fallen world without asking this question.

Maybe you've asked that after a long week of work and you realize you're not able to pay your bills.

Maybe you've asked that question in a moment of unexpected physical sickness.

We want to look this evening,

particularly at verses 3 through 9 of 1st Peter, chapter 1.

If you remember, Peter is writing to people who are suffering,

he's writing to people who are being hammered. And although there is comfort in this letter of Peter, there's much more here than just comfort. This little letter is a call to action.
