My top 3 tips for making the most of relaxation include:

  • Prepare yourself to relax by taking some time beforehand to disconnect from work/study/busy-ness and get ready to immerse yourself in relaxation
  • Practice mindfulness during your relaxation time so you can really experience it
  • Practice relaxing every day so it's not a shock to the system when you suddenly have a break or an opportunity to relax.

It's been both a fun and busy week since my last

episode. Deck and I went to Melbourne for a few days to catch up with family and some friends,

and it was really nice to have a little break. And today, which is the 6th of June, I'll be doing

two talks at some local libraries about mindfulness, self-care and stress management,

which I'm excited about, but a bit nervous as well as I usually am before my public talks.

I use mindfulness practices a lot to keep calm and I keep reminding myself about how much I do

enjoy sharing my knowledge with people in person.

I also wanted to let you know how my little experiment with phone use is going.

On last week's episode, I mentioned that my brother Josh, my partner, Deck and I were all going

to try to reduce our phone screen times and we deleted our biggest time wasting apps.

It's a bit funny because Josh and Dex times on their screens both went up.

However, they were using their phones for much more meaningful reasons.

Like Josh had a really long conversation with a friend over FaceTime and

Deck has been using his phone with a pair of virtual reality goggles, which was a really
