The work of God in the spirit world is vast. This juice really fills in a huge part of our plan

of salvation chart, right? And helps us understand what happens in the immediacy after we die,

and helps us understand how broad and expansive the work of salvation is. We want to give every

single soul the opportunity to choose to accept Christ through his gospel.

In the scriptures, in three different places, the word saviors appears.

Not save yours, save yours with an S on the end.

There were some things only Jesus could do, and he did that part, and then he commissions us to do the rest or do it in tandem with him.

Jesus organized the righteous and sent them among the wicked to carry out the work of preaching, to teach them the gospel.

And it's up to you to accept or reject that. But we want to make sure you have that choice to accept or reject that.

Hello, Casey. Hello, Scott. So this is part two of this week's Come Follow Me. We're now diving into Section 138 of the Doctrine and Covenants. And Casey, I know this is one of your favorites. Yeah, I love Section 138. It's got such a unique context. It's unlike anything else in the doctrine covenant.

It's just wholly unique in where it comes from.

Yeah, so excited to dive deep into this.

Let's talk about the context.

This is that second of revelations that was added quite late after it was received, right?

It's received in 1918, not canonized until 1976, not putting the doctor in covenants until, what, 1981, that same edition, same with section.

Basically, it has the same story as section 137 in terms of canonization, right?

But let's back up and talk about,

so first of all, what was going on in 1918 that leads to this, this is a vision. This is an actual vision that gets canonized. This is the last example we have of a vision that's canonized,

isn't it? Yeah. This one has such a fascinating context. That's one of the reasons why I love it

is when we were putting together Doctrine Covenant Central, we had to link to the earliest copy of each manuscript. And for almost everything, we go to the Joseph Smith papers. This was the first one I came across where I had to do a little searching. And you can find the earliest manuscript of Section 138, but it's actually
