All right, welcome everybody. This is Derek Bodner, joined once again by Mike O'Connor on this week's Sixers Beat, a part of the CLNS Media Network. I am glad that we are doing this podcast. Now, rather than earlier in the week after they had lost to the Orlando Magic, their second consecutive really bad defeat,

0:39.4

came back with a nice bounceback win over the Brooklyn Nets, a team that gives them a lot of

0:45.6

trouble, and then a win on the road against Minnesota Timber Rules without Chuelan Bede,

0:51.8

and in front of the crazy lunatic group

0:55.6

of the rights to Ricky Sanchez. How you doing, Mike? I'm good, man. Like you said, happy to be

1:02.8

happy to be doing this after a couple of, not just Sixers wins, but relatively uneventful

1:09.9

and not dramatic with a bunch of blown lead

1:13.1

Sixers wins. It's kind of a rarity this year. Both games, I think the Wolves and the Nets

1:19.0

threatened a little bit there in the fourth quarter, but they manage both of those. And like I was

1:25.3

saying before the podcast, it's nice to not have to talk about a game

1:28.3

against the magic where how much do we care about a game that the team didn't apparently

1:34.4

care too much about. So it's always hard to judge at this time of year. They're now sitting

1:38.6

relatively pretty with a five-game lead in a loss column over both the Pacers and the Celtics with six games left to play.

1:48.1

Boston does have the tiebreaker on that, so their magic number to finish ahead of the Pacers is one game, either one Sixers win or one Pacers loss.

1:56.5

And for the Celtics, it is two games.

1:58.8

And then they will clinch that covered third seed in the

2:02.0

Eastern Conference.

2:04.9

That they will.

2:06.6

And I think it's pretty safe to say.

2:09.0

I don't think there are any risk of jinxing it now, but that should be where they end up.

2:12.9

And it sounds like Boston is even, it's weird.

2:17.3

They don't even seem to care about seating, even though they're like tied with Indiana.
