Summary

Human trafficking, child exploitation, human slavery, terms that should not exist in our world. Sadly, they do. What can be done about it? Meet Tyler Schwab, founder of Libertas International, a non-profit organization that fights to rescue victims of these atrocious acts of violence and depravity, and also provides victim support afterwards. Tyler and Murph discuss both success and failure stories from the field, highlighting the heartbreaking realities faced by survivors. They also address US border issues and the complexities surrounding immigration and trafficking. January is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month. 0:00.0	And one of the girls on the wait list, we got sent a picture of her with her after having been shot in the head and bleeding out on the pavement.
0:08.9	And this girl was probably about 14 days from coming into the program and living in a life of freedom.
0:14.1	She was being trafficked by a gang down there in Guatemala.
0:17.2	They knew that she was planning on leaving that life and coming into this program.
0:20.5	And so what they did is they killed her.
0:21.8	And they sent the picture to us as a message about what happens when you try to interfere with their business. Hey, everybody, welcome back.
